Defensive back Jordan Poyer is returning to the Buffalo Bills, rejoining the training squad of the team for the 2025 season. This was reported by Jeremy, confirming the information from Poyer's agent, Drew Rosenhaus. Poyer, who is 34 years old, previously played for the Bills from 2017 to 2023, forming a successful duo with Micah Hyde.

In 2024, Poyer left the team due to changes in the squad, but last season he played for the Miami Dolphins, where he appeared in all 16 games. Previously, he was an important part of the Buffalo defense, where over seven seasons he played in 107 games and made 22 interceptions.

His return to the Bills may help young players like Koly Bishop and Damar Hamlin in their development. Trainer Sean McDermott noted that at this moment it is not determined who will start alongside Taylor Rapp at the beginning of the season. Poyer will likely take on a mentor role, as he did with Hyde, who also returned to the team on the training squad last season.
