European Leaders Support Moldova on Its Path to the EU
- European leaders have supported Moldova in its efforts to align with the European course.

Leaders of France, Germany, and Poland have supported Moldova to celebrate the 34th anniversary of the country's independence from the Soviet Union. The visit took place ahead of the parliamentary elections scheduled for February 28, 2025. President of Moldova Maia Sandu emphasized that for the country, there are no alternatives to the European course.
The German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated that "the doors to the European Union are open" and expressed support for the reforms that are bringing Moldova closer to EU membership. He also warned about the constant threats from Russia, which aims to destabilize the situation in the country, using hybrid attacks.
French President Emmanuel Macron noted that the visit demonstrates the importance of Moldova for Europe. He dismissed Russian propaganda statements that the EU threatens the peace and sovereignty of countries. Macron emphasized that integration into the EU is a choice in favor of peace and justice.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk also confirmed that without independent Moldova, there can be no secure EU. Sandu remarked that the country faces significant challenges, but the path to Europe is the only right solution.
It is expected that the leaders will attend a festive concert in the center of Chișinău, dedicated to the Day of Independence of Moldova.
