Naftogaz to secure the supply of American LNG to Ukraine

Naftogaz of Ukraine has signed an agreement with the Polish company ORLEN and American partners for the supply of additional volumes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Ukraine. Naftogaz's General Director Sergey Koretsky stated that this is an important step to ensure a stable heating season amid Russian attacks.

According to the agreement, Ukraine will receive no less than 300 million cubic meters of gas. Koretsky also noted that partners provide credit support for the supply contracts, which helps resolve liquidity issues. The agreement was signed at the P-TEC conference in Athens with the participation of Ukraine's Minister of Energy, German Galushchenko.

Additionally, Naftogaz signed a memorandum with the Greek company ATLANTIC-SEE LNG TRADE S.A. regarding the supply of American LNG through Greek terminals. This partnership aims to diversify the routes for gas supply to Ukraine by 2050.

Naftogaz continues to collaborate with ORLEN to ensure stable LNG supplies, which is crucial for Ukraine's energy security. Since the beginning of 2025, the company has already imported over 400 million cubic meters of American LNG.
