A 65-year-old man died after falling more than 30 meters from the edge of the Grand Canyon. The incident occurred at Guano Point, which is on the western edge of the canyon, in Nevada. Emergency services received a call for a technical rescue approximately at 14:00 local time on Thursday.

The man, whose identity has not been disclosed, fell into the canyon. A search-and-rescue team found him approximately 40 meters below on a rocky ledge. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Specialized canyons were utilized for the retrieval of the body. After this, the body was transported to the office of the medical examiner of Mohave County. In rescue operations, police from the Hualapai tribe, firefighters, and the Grand Canyon safety service also participated.
