Mavericks Defeat Grizzlies in NBA Match
- Mavericks suffered their fourth consecutive loss in the NBA
- Grizzlies ended a streak of four losses
- Jaren Jackson scored 17 points for Memphis
The Mavericks from Dallas continued their disappointing start to the season, defeating the Grizzlies from Memphis with a score of 118-104 in a group stage match of the NBA Cup, which took place on November 7, 2025.
Dallas led by 35 points in the first half, but reduced their lead to 13 points in the fourth quarter. This marked the fourth consecutive loss for the Mavericks, who now have a record of 2-7 in the season.
In the lineup, the Mavericks again did not play great player Enzo Davis due to a thigh injury. Head coach Jason Kidd intended to make changes, starting D'Angelo Russell in the starting lineup, but this did not bring success.
The Grizzlies, on the contrary, ended their four-game losing streak. Team leaders were Ja Morant and rookie Sedrick Covard, who each scored 21 points. Memphis also received 17 points from Jaren Jackson.
On the background of low shooting efficiency, both teams had problems with long-range shots, but the Grizzlies showed better results, making 10 out of 21 three-pointers in the first half.
The next match for the Mavericks will be on November 8 against Washington, while the Grizzlies will play at home against Oklahoma City on November 9.
