Israel identified the last body of a returned hostage
- Li'or Rudaef died while protecting the community during the Hamas attack.

Israel announced that the body, returned from Gaza, belongs to Li'or Rudaef, who was a hostage and died during the Hamas attack on July 7, 2023. This occurred within the framework of the truce agreement that was signed on October 10.
Rudaef, 61, died in the kibbutz Nir-Yitzhak, trying to protect his community along with four other residents. His body was captured and transferred to Gaza on the day of the attack.
Under the terms of the truce agreement, Hamas returned 23 bodies of hostages, including Rudaef, in exchange for 285 bodies of Palestinians. In total, during the Hamas attack, approximately 1200 Israelis were killed, and 251 individuals were captured as hostages.
According to the data from the Ministry of Health of Gaza, more than 68,800 Palestinians were killed, and identifying the bodies without access to DNA testing was challenging.
Under the terms of the agreement, Israel is also obliged to allow the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, but the volume of aid remains insufficient.
