Temporarily suspended border crossing due to data breach

  • Operations at the border are temporarily suspended due to a breach in the data system.
  • Specialists are working on restoring the system.
  • Citizens are advised to take into account the restrictions when planning travel.

This is reported by Interfax Ukraine, RBC Ukraine.

Operations at the border points of Ukraine are temporarily suspended, the State Border Service of Ukraine reports.

The reason for the suspension of operations at border points was a breach in the customs data system. In connection with this, the registration of citizens and transport vehicles entering or leaving Ukraine is temporarily suspended.

Specialists are already working on restoring the data base. After resolving the issue, operations at the border will resume in full.

Citizens and carriers are asked to consider these temporary restrictions when planning their trips and to follow the official updates.

Earlier, Poland connected the border point Khrebenne–Rava-Ruska to the EU Entry/Exit System (EES), which automatically fixes data on the entry and exit of third-country nationals, including Ukrainians.

Romania has also continued to restrict traffic at the checkpoint Solomons–Sighet due to repairs on the bridge over the Tisza River.
