- Davis hopes to be a role model for youth and help them avoid pitfalls.
Ishmael Davis, a British boxer, spoke about his difficult childhood and how sport helped him change his life. At 14, he became a father to twins, and at 18, he found himself in a gang through drug dealing. His path to boxing began at 12, but due to difficult circumstances, he could not continue training.
Davis explains that after being released from the gang, he realized he needed to change his life. He started taking boxing seriously and made his professional debut in 2018. Currently, he is preparing for a title fight in Britain and the Commonwealth in the lightweight division, which will take place on November 15.
Davis believes being a role model for youth is important. He wants to help children avoid the same pitfalls he faced. "I want to give young people the opportunity to see that they can change their lives," he says.
The boxer acknowledged setbacks in some previous fights, but continues to fight for his career and dreams of a better future for himself and his children.
