Sabalenka, who occupies the first place in the world ranking, reached the final after defeating Amanda Anisimova in a tense semifinal match with a score of 6-3, 3-6, 6-3. This is her first final at the WTA Finals in three years.
Rybakina, who won all her matches, defeated Jessica Pegula in the semifinal with a score of 4-6, 6-4, 6-3. Rybakina, who is the 2022 Wimbledon champion, displayed an impressive game, serving 15 aces in the semifinal.
