Aaron Rai from England is advancing to the final round of the championship in Abu Dhabi with a lead of one stroke. In the third round, he posted a score of 66, which allowed him to reach 20 under par. The closest competitors are Tommy Fleetwood and Nikolai Højgaard, who are tied for second place with him.
Fleetwood, who won this tournament last year, finished the round with a score of 67, including two birdies in the concluding three holes. Højgaard also demonstrated strong play, finishing the third round with 65 strokes.
Rai, who ranks 30th in the world rankings, emphasized the importance of this tournament at this stage of the DP World Tour. He noted that there is still a lot of work ahead, and the competition among the players is very high.
In fourth place with a score of 17 under par are Enda Sallivan and Daniel Hillier. The season leader Rory McIlroy, who is striving to win his first title in the Race to Dubai, is currently in sixth place with 14 under par.
The championship in Abu Dhabi is the first of two final tournaments of the season, where 70 of the best players participate, aiming to qualify for the final in Dubai.
