Zelensky announced the purchase of additional Patriot systems

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the country is working with partners, including the United States, to acquire additional Patriot systems. This decision was made in response to a recent massive missile strike by Russia, which occurred last night and involved a total of 25 ballistic missiles, as well as aerial and cruise missiles, and more than 450 drones of various types.

Zelensky characterized this attack as particularly aggressive and demonstrative. During the attack, Ukrainian armed forces neutralized over 400 drones, which marked a significant achievement for the units dealing with drones, army aviation, and mobile fire groups.

He also noted that electronic warfare systems were effective, and some missiles were managed to be intercepted. However, Zelensky emphasized that the defense against ballistic and aerial missiles remains complex, as only a limited number of systems in the world can effectively intercept them. To protect the entire territory of Ukraine, it is necessary to significantly increase such systems and missiles.

Zelensky expressed hope for further support from partners, addressing all leaders and allies in Europe, America, and Asia, who assist or seek ways to help Ukraine.

It is worth noting that on November 4, Zelensky announced the transfer of two Patriot systems from Germany to Ukraine.
