The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky presented state awards to military personnel of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the occasion of their professional holiday.

Zelensky emphasized that today marks the Day of Air Assault Forces, a day that honors the brave and strong individuals who always stand on the front lines. According to him, Ukrainian paratroopers defend Ukraine's independence and maintain positions in the most critical battles and operations.

The president expressed gratitude to each soldier of the Air Assault Forces for their service and noted that each unit is a pride of Ukraine.

Zelensky also urged those present to honor the memory of the fallen.

Earlier, according to the president's decree from November 21, 2017, this holiday was first celebrated on November 21.
