The tornado caused significant destruction: many buildings were destroyed, and several essential structural facilities were also damaged. Nearly 1,000 people were forced to leave their homes. Roads are blocked, and electrical supply in the region is disrupted.

The government has declared a state of emergency in the affected area. The Minister of Institutional Relations, Gleisi Hoffmann, plans to send aid to the region for recovery efforts. President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, expressed condolences to the families of the victims through social media.
