Gabriel Bortoleto, a rookie in Formula 1, crashed during the sprint race at the Brazilian Grand Prix. The incident occurred on the last lap, when he attempted to overtake Alex Albon. As a result, Bortoleto lost control of his Sauber car and collided with the wall.
At the moment of the crash, Bortoleto was exceeding a speed of over 200 km/h, and although his car was somewhat damaged, the driver reported that he feels fine. For a check-up on his condition, he was taken to the FIA medical center.
There were also other crashes in the race, including one involving Oscar Piastri and two other drivers through the wet section of the track. Lando Norris won the race, increasing his lead in the championship to nine points.
