Gislein Maxwell, former partner of Jeffrey Epstein, spoke about her new life in the bond in Texas, where she was transferred in September 2025. In a list to friends and relatives, she noted that she feels "more fortunate" in the new conditions.

In her electronic communications, Maxwell described the cleanliness and order in the bond, stating that "the establishment operates in an orderly manner, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for everyone." She also praised the food, asserting that "the food is better compared to the previous place of confinement in Florida."

The transfer of Maxwell to the Federal bond in Bryan drew attention among some of her associates. Many believe that she is granted special status, including the possibility of having private visits and receiving them directly to her cell. Such privileges have prompted concerns among other bonds, which reported threats during discussions about Maxwell.

Deputy Jamie Raskin turned to the administration in the bond with a request to clarify the situation, stressing that there are concerns about possible reprisals for expressing opinions about Maxwell. In response to the publication about Maxwell, her advocate claims that the publication of her personal letters is "yellow journalism."

Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year term for convictions in sex trafficking, also expressed her dissatisfaction with the media, which, in her opinion, spreads false narratives about her.
