Rubén Amorim, the head coach of Manchester United, provided an update on the injury of Benjamin Sesko, who was forced to leave the field in a dramatic match against Tottenham. The game ended in a draw 2-2, where both teams exchanged goals in added time.
Sesko, who came off the bench in the 58th minute, sustained a knee injury after colliding with Tottenham's defender Mike van de Ven. After receiving medical assistance, he managed to stay on the pitch, but Amorim expressed concern regarding the seriousness of the injury.
"We need to check what happened, but according to the previous data, there is a problem with his knee," said Amorim. He also noted that this is not the team's biggest problem, but Sesko's injury poses a significant concern.
In addition to Sesko, Tottenham's captain Cristian Romero also suffered an injury, but his coach, Thomas Frank, stated that everything is fine with him.
Due to the absence of attackers, who are heading to the African Cup of Nations, the team may be forced to field a weakened squad in January if Sesko's injury turns out to be serious.
