Securing the victory, West Ham continues to climb the table
- West Ham scored their second victory in a match against Burnley.
- Callum Wilson and Tomas Soucek became key players in the victory.
- Burnley scored a consolation goal, but it did not save them from defeat.
West Ham secured their second victory in a match, defeating Burnley with a score of 3-2 at London Stadium. After the team played nine home matches, West Ham looks revitalized under the management of Nuno Espirito Santo, continuing a streak of victories following a win in New York last week.
The match started off poorly for West Ham, when Zian Flemming opened the scoring for Burnley. However, shortly before the halftime break, Callum Wilson equalized the score. In the second half, West Ham continued to press, and Tomas Soucek, who came on as a substitute, scored an important goal following a pass from Lucas Paquetá.
Soucek also became the author of the second goal, when his long-range shot was deflected by Burnley goalkeeper Martin Dubravka, and Kyle Uoker-Peters managed to catch the ball in the net. In the added time, Josh Kallen from Burnley scored a consolation goal, but it did not prevent the team from suffering a defeat.
Although West Ham remains in the relegation zone, the team has gathered momentum this season.
