ROME, Italy (AP) — Italy has once again defeated Australia, winning the match with a score of 26-19 on Saturday. This victory is historic, as until 2022, Italy had not defeated the Australian team.

Players from the Australian side, Luigi Ling and Monti Ioane, were key figures in this victory, scoring tries for Australia. Ling is the son of the legend "Wollabies" Michael Ling, while Ioane is the nephew of former player "Wollabies" Digby Ioane.

The match started with an early penalty from Paolo Garbisi, who opened the scoring in the 6th minute. After this, Australia responded with attempts from Matti Faessler and Angus Bell, but Garbisi again scored a penalty, converting a penalty kick in the first half.

After halftime, Australia again took the lead after attempts from Carter Aordon, but Italy quickly restored parity.
