New York — Laban Filon scored 25 points, and the team #15 Alabama secured a victory over the #5 ranked St. John's with a score of 103-96 on Saturday evening.
Filon helped Alabama solidify the win with a deep three-pointer that made the score 98-88 with two minutes left to go. He hit 10 of 17 shots from the game, contributing to a strong performance in the second half. Alabama took control of the game early in the first half, weathering the Supernicks' attack and successfully executing plays in the final moments.
Aden Gallooley added 21 points after missing the first game of the season due to an ankle injury. The Crimson Tide (2-0) converted 48.1% of their shots.
