Patriots Control AFC, Jaguars Struggle to Maintain Positions in NFC
- Patriots have won nine matches in a row, overtaking the AFC.
- Jaguars have lost a 21-point lead and fell to the Cowboys.
- Rams occupy the top spot in the NFC after a victory over the Buccaneers.
After a two-month winning streak, the New England Patriots secured their ninth consecutive win, defeating the Cincinnati Bengals. This allowed them to top the AFC standings with a record of 10-2. They are fully on track to secure the number one seed in the playoffs for the first time since 2017.
The team received support from the Kansas City Chiefs, who beat the Indianapolis Colts in overtime, keeping their playoff hopes alive. The Colts, with a record of 8-3, now sit in second place in the division.
At the same time in the NFC, the Philadelphia Jaguars suffered a defeat against the Dallas Cowboys, losing a 21-point lead. The Los Angeles Rams, who had previously beaten the Jaguars, now occupy the top spot in the NFC.
A review of other events in the NFL includes the race for the playoffs in the AFC and NFC, where teams like the Denver Broncos and the Indianapolis Colts are also competing for playoff spots. Notably, the Broncos have a record of 9-2, while the Colts stand at 8-3.
Currently, the Patriots, Broncos, and Colts are vying for the top positions in the AFC, just as the Rams, Jaguars, and Chicago Bears are leading the race for the playoffs in their divisions. Only six weeks remain in the regular season, which will make the competition even more intense.
