Russia Attacks Kyiv During Peace Plan Talks with the USA

Russia launched a new wave of attacks on the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, on the evening of November 25, 2025. As a result of the bombardments, residential buildings and infrastructure were damaged. According to local authorities, at least two people were killed, and six others were injured.

The Mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, reported that as a result of the missile strike, two high-rise residential buildings in the central and eastern districts of the city were severely damaged. Video footage shows large fires engulfing one of the buildings in the Dniprovskiy district.

The head of the military administration of Kyiv, Tymur Tkachenkо, confirmed information about the casualties and noted that energy infrastructure also suffered strikes, but details were not disclosed at the moment.

This attack occurred after negotiations between representatives of the USA and Ukraine in Geneva, which concerned a peace plan proposed by Washington. Oleksandr Bevz, a delegate from the Ukrainian side, stated that the discussions were constructive, while the Kremlin claims it did not receive an updated version of the plan.

Moreover, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, stated that Russia should not ease the pressure on Ukraine, limiting its readiness for possible further attacks.
