Russian troops intend to encircle Myrnohrad in the Donetsk region, moving towards populated points Rivne and Svitlovodsk. This was reported by the press service of the 7th rapid response brigade of the Assault Storm Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"The nature of the enemy's actions indicates their desire to interrupt the direct connection between Myrnohrad and Pokrovsk at the earliest opportunity. The Russians plan to encircle the city," it is stated in the report.

Assault storm units are continuing to push back Russian forces in the Krasny Liman area. The Russians are preparing to storm the northern part of Myrnohrad with small infantry groups. The enemy is trying to achieve its goals and is using drones to coordinate its actions.

Ukrainian armed forces are reinforcing their units in the city to protect the southern outskirts. In this area, the enemy is attempting to accumulate forces for further attempts to advance.

In the northern outskirts of Myrnohrad, the 38th separate marine brigade detained four Russian soldiers who were trying to storm the city. Three of the detained are former contract soldiers who were released after signing military contracts.

The detained reported that before the storm, they had spent four days in a basement in a neighboring populated point without food and water. After their detention, Ukrainian defenders provided them with all necessary conditions and, accordingly, in accordance with international humanitarian law.

In addition, the Armed Forces are organizing additional logistical routes to Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad to ensure uninterrupted supply of everything necessary for combat units.
