- A new sub-brand, Chick ‘N’ Dip, has been launched to expand the menu.
- The company plans to continue developing its core pizza business.
Domino's has announced a change in leadership following the unexpected departure of General Director Andrew Rennie. He left his position due to disagreements with management regarding the company's growth strategy.
Rennie led the company for two years, during which time he aimed to reorient the business towards chicken sales, launching the new sub-brand Chick ‘N’ Dip in the fall, which quickly expanded to 200 locations.
According to his statements, the pizza market in Great Britain has reached saturation point, and he believes that significant growth in this category will not occur. However, Domino's management believes that there are still opportunities for further growth in the core pizza business.
During the search for a new general director, it is necessary to fulfill the duties of operational director Nikola Frampton. She stated that the company will continue to work on initiatives for growth, including improving delivery times and developing new products.
Earlier, the company reported a 1.5% decline in pizza sales in the third quarter, as well as a 14% drop in shares over the past year. Other operators in the pizza market are also facing difficulties, including Pizza Hut, which closed 68 locations following the bankruptcy of its franchise.
