Max Verstappen back in the fight for the title after McLaren's disqualification

  • Verstappen is back in the fight for the title after McLaren's disqualification.
  • Norris acknowledged mistakes at the start of the Las Vegas Grand Prix.
  • The next stage of the championship will take place in Qatar.

Zak Brown supported Max Verstappen in the battle for the Formula 1 world championship title after the disqualification of McLaren cars following the Las Vegas Grand Prix. Lando Norris, who led the championship, had a chance for victory, but after the disqualification of both McLaren cars due to excessive floor element wear, Verstappen once again became a serious contender.

Norris, who finished second in Las Vegas, now has a single-point lead over Oscar Piastri, while Verstappen trails by 24 points. Villeneuve believes that Red Bull can now pressure McLaren, especially since they have two drivers in the fight for the title.

Norris admitted that his start in Las Vegas was "quite messy" and promised to learn from the mistakes. He noted that he needed to be more decisive at the start to avoid similar situations in the future.

The championship continues, and the next stage will take place in Qatar. Norris can still win the title if he finishes ahead of Verstappen in the remaining races.
