Airport security and service staff are participating in the strike, which is taking place in response to the government's plans regarding harsh economic policies. The airport anticipates that due to the strike, there will be significant disruptions in operations.

The cancellation of flights has already been confirmed by the airline British Airways, which canceled its flights between London and Brussels on this day. According to the airport representative, 93 flights remain unaffected, but airlines will need to reroute passengers whose flights are canceled.

The strike is taking place against the backdrop of negotiations regarding the government budget for the upcoming year, which have been ongoing for three months. The government plans to reduce the budget deficit by 9.2 billion euros by 2029, which involves increased taxation on activities, aviation, and natural gas.
