In northern Italy, in the town of Borgo Virgilio, a 57-year-old man is suspected of fraud and impersonating a deceased person. He disguised himself in women's clothing, used a wig and makeup, trying to restore the identification card of his deceased mother, Gracielle Dalloblio, who had passed away several years ago.
The man, who previously worked in the medical field, received over 50,000 euros annually from his mother's pension and income from her estate. Along with this information, he submitted tax declarations under her name.
Suspicions arose when an employee of the local council noticed the man dressed in women's clothing. After this, the police were called, who discovered the woman's body hidden in a room of his apartment.
The Mantova prosecutor's office has filed charges against him for impersonating a deceased person, fraud, and theft of state funds. A forensic medical examination has been appointed to establish the cause of death.
