On Monday evening in South Carolina, a grandmother and her three grandchildren went missing during a hike in Caesars Head State Park. According to the sheriff's department of Greenville County, one of the children called 911, reporting that they had been lost for about three hours.
The missing individuals have been identified as Tonda Mishlen, 53 years old; Melodi Bengs, 14 years old; Michael Louton, 11 years old; and Dale Mozer, 9 years old. The vehicle, which matches the description, was found at the beginning of the trail to the Raven Cliff Falls.
Due to the fact that one of the children was on the phone, authorities did not receive additional calls. Search efforts began on Monday and include over 50 people from various agencies, including the National Guard.
Caesars Head Park is located approximately 30 miles (50 km) to the north of Greenville and is known for its scenic beauty, which is home to various wildlife and plants. The trail to Raven Cliff Falls is 4 miles (5.6 km) long and is part of the larger Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area.
Authorities have closed the trail to Raven Cliff Falls during the search. Local residents are urged to check their property and immediately call 911 if they see any missing tourists.
