The court ruled on the extradition of Morgan Geyser after her escape

  • Morgan Geyser does not contest the extradition to Wisconsin.
  • She escaped from a group home, having declared a GPS monitor.
  • Her friend was implicated in a criminal offense during the escape.

Morgan Geyser, a girl from Wisconsin who nearly killed her classmate in the name of Peyton Leutner in 2014, will not contest extradition from Illinois to Wisconsin. She agreed to the transfer from the juvenile facility around Cook based on rumors in the evening. The Wisconsin authorities have 30 days to take her back.

Geyser, who recently received conditional release from a psychiatric facility, escaped from a group home, declaring her GPS monitor. She left a note with 43-year-old man she met at a church event. The police detained them on Sunday evening in Posen, Illinois.

According to police data, Geyser's friend, Chadd Meka, was implicated in criminal trespass and identification fraud. He was released on conditions and required to appear in court on January 15.

Geyser was charged with attempting to kill her classmate, stating that she acted on behalf of a fictional character named Slenderman. Along with two other girls, Geyser and Anissa Weier, were charged as adults and received terms in psychiatric facilities.

Geyser's parents and her attorney expressed hope that she could return to the group home, but the Wisconsin prosecutor opposed her conditional release, citing her recent escape as a reason for the cancellation of the release.
