Wyze Launches New Security Camera That Mounts on Windows

Wyze has introduced a new security camera called Window Cam, which mounts on windows and monitors the territory inside your home. This approach allows for unique battery usage, Wi-Fi range extenders, and additional power supply options.
The camera has a 1080P HD sensor with a horizontal field of view of 101 degrees and a vertical field of view of 53.9 degrees. It is also equipped with an enhanced color night vision feature, which allows for capturing color images even in low light conditions.
To install the camera, a special mounting bracket is used, which minimizes reflections from indoor lighting. The camera connects via a 10-foot MicroUSB cable, and for local recording, a microSD card with a capacity of up to 512 GB is required.
The camera also has a built-in microphone and a speaker for two-way communication, but their capabilities may be limited when installed near a window. Wyze also offers a subscription for Cam Unlimited Pro, which provides additional features, including AI-powered motion detection.
The camera is available on the Wyze website for $34.98, and there is also a bundle with two cameras for $60.
