Chelsea achieved a convincing victory over 10-player Barcelona with a score of 3-0. The first goal was scored by Jules Koundé, who started with an own goal in the 27th minute. In the 55th minute, Esteve scored the second goal, and Liam Delap finished the job in the 73rd minute. After the second yellow card, Barcelona's captain Ronald Araújo was forced to leave the field in the first half.

Borussia Dortmund also made a statement, defeating Villarreal 4-0, who remained without two players. Sergio Gómez scored two goals, and Karim Adeyemi and Daniel Svendsen completed the tally. This victory allowed Dortmund to rise to fourth place in the table.
Juventus recorded their first victory of the season, winning 3-2 against Bodo/Glimt, while Scott McTominay became a hero for Napoli, scoring the first goal in the match against Karabakh, which ended with a score of 2-0. Napoli started a five-match winning streak in memory of Diego Maradona.
In the match between Benfica and Ajax, the former secured a 2-0 victory, leaving Ajax without a single point in the group stage.
