Peace Agreement Between Ukraine and Russia Under Discussion

President of the USA Donald Trump announced that his proposal regarding the end of the war in Ukraine was "improved" after negotiations in Geneva. He will send his special representative Stephen Vitkoff to discuss the plan with Vladimir Putin.

Trump indicated that he would meet with Putin and the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky only after the conditions of the peace agreement are "finalized." American and Ukrainian negotiators, according to his words, were close to an agreement, and Ukraine is ready to "move forward" with the USA's proposal.

Kyiv supported the "substantive" peace agreement after intensive negotiations, but some sensitive issues still require discussion between Trump and Zelensky. Trump mentioned a harsh term for Ukraine regarding the approval of the peace plan.

In addition, Ukraine carried out successful strikes on several Russian air bases, including the destruction of the experimental aircraft A-60 and the transport aircraft Il-76, which is confirmed by satellite images.

Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, stated that Ukraine rejected "constructive changes" to the American peace plan, which could facilitate its acceptance. He called for the preparation of the plan and financing for future Armed Forces of Ukraine.
