Police Returned Guitar Stolen from Heart Band

Return of the Guitar
On June 10, 2025, the Atlantic City police announced the return of a Fender Telecaster guitar that belonged to the band Heart. This instrument was stolen from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino while the band was preparing for their "An Evening With Heart" tour.
The guitar was recovered after law enforcement tracked down the suspect, 57-year-old Garfield Bennett from Pleasantville, New Jersey. He was captured on video handing the guitar to a woman who placed it in her car nearby the scene of the theft.
The police used automated license plate reading systems to track the vehicle and contacted its owner. The woman voluntarily surrendered the guitar, claiming she had purchased it from Bennett, who is currently charged with theft.
The guitar was returned to representatives of Hard Rock Atlantic City and will soon be returned to the members of Heart. However, the mandolin, which was also stolen, still remains missing.
Context of the Incident
The theft occurred around 2 AM on May 30, 2025. The band Heart, particularly sisters Nancy and Ann Wilson, known for their hits such as "Magic Man" and "Alone," was scheduled to perform at a concert at Hard Rock Live.
The police continue the investigation regarding the whereabouts of the mandolin, which had been in the possession of guitarist Paul Moak for over 25 years.
