Putin Demands Infrastructure Preparation for New Weapon Systems
- Putin ordered the preparation of bases and arsenals for new weapons.
- Funding for the modernization of military facilities must be separately allocated.
- The Security Service of Ukraine conducted a successful operation against Russian aviation, destroying a significant number of aircraft.
This was reported by Ukrayinska Pravda, RBC Ukraine.
Russian leader Vladimir Putin ordered the preparation of infrastructure for new weapon systems, including aircraft, according to a statement made at a meeting broadcast on a channel associated with the Kremlin.
Putin emphasized the importance of calculating needs in advance and starting the preparation of infrastructure for the deployment of new weapons, including bases, arsenals, and airfields.
According to him, funds for the construction and modernization of Russian bases should be separately allocated within the framework of the relevant state program.
"I constantly sign these documents. Of course, the officials who bring them do not do so of their own accord—they ask to redirect funding to other, seemingly more important items. But what does this lead to? A new weapon system appears, and then it just stands in an open field, requiring faster modernization and additional costs," noted Putin.
Operation "Spiderweb"
On June 1, the Security Service of Ukraine attacked Russian strategic aviation with drones that were hidden in modular houses and transported by trucks.
According to information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian drones struck 41 Russian aircraft, with bombers suffering the most damage.
Today, June 11, the SBU released a video showing how Operation "Spiderweb" began.
Additionally, Putin reiterated that the share of modern weapons in Russia's nuclear triad is 95%, which is the highest indicator in the world.
He ordered officials to prioritize the nuclear triad as the main element of Russia's sovereignty in the new state armament program for 2027-2036.
