This conference is dedicated to the possible resolution of the conflict between Israel and Palestine, particularly discussing the two-state solution. The USA believes that participation in the event would contradict their foreign policy interests.

A diplomatic message that has come to light states that countries exhibiting "anti-Israel actions" after the conference may face repercussions from Washington. This move contradicts the positions of France and Saudi Arabia, which are jointly hosting the event in New York.

French President Emmanuel Macron has expressed intent to recognize the Palestinian state at the conference, but French officials are trying to avoid conflict with the USA. Washington traditionally supports the concept of two states, but now the Trump administration expresses doubts about the feasibility of an independent Palestinian state.

The conflict in Gaza is deepening: following a Hamas attack on Israel in 2023, around 55,000 Palestinians have died, and the Gaza territory has suffered significant destruction. The USA believes that the conference undermines efforts to achieve a peace agreement and supports the terrorist organization Hamas.

Additionally, this week, the UK, Canada, and other countries imposed sanctions on two right-wing Israeli ministers, attempting to pressure Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to stop the war in Gaza.
