Israeli Military Action Against Iran
Israel is considering military action against Iran, likely without U.S. support, in the coming days. This is occurring amid negotiations between U.S. President Donald Trump and Tehran regarding a nuclear deal, which Israeli sources claim does not meet their requirements.
According to reports, Israel is becoming increasingly serious about a unilateral strike as negotiations between the U.S. and Iran approach a preliminary agreement that includes uranium enrichment terms deemed unacceptable by Israel. Should a strike occur, it would represent a significant departure from the position of the Trump administration, which opposes such actions.
The threat of an Israeli strike has emerged as Iran is expected to respond to the U.S. proposal regarding the nuclear deal. Trump has publicly noted that Tehran has become more hardline in its negotiations.
In response to the new threats, the Trump administration has ordered all embassies in risk zones related to Iranian missiles to send threat assessments. U.S. officials are on alert for a potential Israeli strike on Iran.
One of the main concerns is the possibility of an Iranian strike on American facilities in the region. Israel, which relies on U.S. intelligence and logistical support, may act independently, albeit without U.S. backing.
It has also been reported that Iran is restoring its strategic air defense systems, complicating strike possibilities for Israeli pilots. In October of last year, Israel inflicted significant damage on Iran's air defense systems, but many of these systems may be restored.
At the same time, U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff plans to meet with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Oman. This will take place on Sunday, and the agenda will include discussing Iran's response to the recent U.S. proposal regarding the nuclear deal.
Trump has expressed uncertainty about whether Iran will agree to halt uranium enrichment as part of the deal. He also emphasized that the U.S. is evacuating some personnel from the region due to rising tensions.
