Official Launch of Nothing Phone 3 in the USA

The smartphone startup Nothing will begin selling its new flagship model, Nothing Phone (3), in the USA through its website and Amazon. This will be the first time a model, other than Phone (2), will be available for general sale in the country.

Nothing plans to unveil the new phone early next month in London. Since its founding in 2020, the company has released eight phones, but only Phone (2) was available for general sale in the USA. Previously, users could only purchase the phone through a beta program, without after-sales service, although there was a return option within 14 days.

CEO Carl Pei noted that Phone (3) is an important step for the company in the USA market, which is dominated by two major players. He believes that many people want alternatives, so Nothing will focus on the unique design of its smartphones to attract those looking for something new.

Phone (3) will support AT&T and T-Mobile networks with multi-band support for 4G and 5G, which is an improvement compared to the limited compatibility of previous models.

In Canada, Nothing has partnered with Best Buy to sell the new flagship, as well as the new model of headphones, Headphone (1), in retail channels for the first time.

According to Pei, Phone (3) will feature premium materials, significant performance improvements, and software enhancements to elevate the user experience. The new phone is expected to be priced around £800, which could translate to approximately $1,000 in the USA, putting it in direct competition with the iPhone 16 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S25+.

Research firm Counterpoint Research noted that Nothing's shipment volumes in 2024 were in the "low single-digit millions," with India being the company's largest market. Analyst Maurice Klaehne added that Google and Motorola have made some inroads in the premium device market in the USA, which is dominated by Samsung and Apple.

Nothing has already raised over $250 million in investment across several funding rounds.
