At the 2025 NHL Awards ceremony, which took place before the fourth game of the Stanley Cup Finals, Connor Hellebuyck from the Winnipeg Jets received the Hart Trophy as the most valuable player of the season. This is Hellebuyck's first Hart Trophy and his third Vezina Trophy for being the best goaltender.

Hellebuyck became the first goaltender to win the Hart Trophy since 2015, when Carey Price received the award. In the 2024-2025 season, Hellebuyck achieved 47 wins, the best record in the league, and helped his team secure the Winning Trophy.
