Verdict in Lori Vallow Daybell's Case

June 12, 2025, Phoenix — Jurors in Phoenix convicted Lori Vallow Daybell for conspiracy to murder her niece's ex-husband in 2019. This marks the second conviction for conspiracy to commit murder in Arizona in less than two months.

Daybell was found guilty on Thursday of conspiring to murder Brandon Boudreau, who was once married to her niece, outside his home in the Phoenix suburb of Gilbert.

In April 2025, Arizona jurors also convicted Daybell for conspiring with her brother Alex Cox to murder her husband, Charles Vallow, in 2019 at her home in Chandler.

The woman, who holds apocalyptic religious beliefs, has already been sentenced in Idaho to life imprisonment for the murder of her two younger children and for her involvement in a conspiracy to murder a romantic rival.

The sentencing in both Arizona cases is scheduled for July 25. Each conviction carries a life sentence.

Boudreau claims that his ex-wife, Melanie Pawlowski, sought to emulate her aunt Lori and that they began attending religious gatherings together in 2018, shortly after which Pawlowski started insisting on stockpiling supplies for an apocalypse.

In October 2019, someone in a Jeep parked outside Boudreau's home shot at him but hit the window of his car instead.

Boudreau identified the Jeep as the vehicle regularly used by Vallow Daybell's daughter, Tylee Ryan, prior to her death.

Lori Vallow Daybell is not a lawyer but chose to represent herself in both trials in Arizona.
