HENDERSON, Nevada — As they prepare for the new season, the Las Vegas Raiders are looking to improve their results under new head coach Pete Carroll. Last season, the team finished with a record of 4-13, having one of the worst offensive lines in the league.

Although the Raiders signed experienced player Alex Kappa and drafted offensive lineman Charles Grant and guard Caleb Rogers, only Kappa is expected to play a significant role in 2025. Carroll hopes to develop players through the new scheme implemented by offensive coordinator Chip Kelly.

"They are doing their jobs very well," Carroll noted. "Communication among the players has improved, and the execution of tasks has become better."

Left tackle Colton Miller, left guard Dylan Parham, and center Jackson Powers-Johnson were part of last year's roster that struggled. Miller is now fully healthy, and Powers-Johnson is focusing on the center position.

Another new player, Lucky Tasi, signed through the NFL International Player Pathway program, is still a project, but the coaching staff sees potential in him.

Overall, the Raiders are trying to improve their offensive game, which was the worst in the league last season in terms of total yards gained. To achieve this, the team is working on enhancing their run blocking.

Defense is also important, and Carroll signed defensive lineman Jermaine Pratt to strengthen this line. Pratt made 143 tackles last season, showcasing his ability to impact the game.
