Tottenham Sues Ineos
Tottenham Hotspur has filed a lawsuit in the High Court against Ineos Automotive, owned by Manchester United co-owner Jim Ratcliffe.
Court documents indicate that the lawsuit was filed on Thursday, although access to the documents is currently unavailable.
The dispute arose from the termination of a contract signed in 2022 when Ineos agreed to become the club's official partner for supplying 4x4 vehicles.
Ineos stated that it had the right to terminate the agreement and exercised that right in December 2024.
A representative of Ineos noted: "Ineos Automotive has been a partner of Tottenham Hotspur since 2022, continuing a partnership that the Ineos Group had with the club since 2020."
Tottenham has declined to comment on the situation.
In March 2025, it was revealed that Ineos reached an agreement with New Zealand Rugby over a sponsorship dispute that arose due to the failure to make the first payment under a six-year deal.
Since the beginning of 2024, significant changes have occurred at Manchester United, including the layoffs of hundreds of staff and an increase in ticket prices at Old Trafford.
