A Bus Accident Involving Ukrainians Occurred in France

On June 13, a serious accident occurred in the Sart department, France, involving a bus transporting Ukrainians. As a result of the incident, four people died, and eleven sustained serious injuries.
Details: The accident happened on the A81 motorway at 11:58 near the town of Dégre, between the intersections of Sillé-le-Guillaume and Le Mans Nord. The bus, which was carrying adults and teenagers from Ukraine, overturned into a ditch. According to preliminary data, 34 people sustained minor injuries.
After the accident, the motorway was closed in both directions to carry out rescue operations. A total of 87 firefighters and 49 fire engines arrived at the scene.
The prefect of the Sart department, Emmanuel Aubry, took charge of the rescue operations, and an operational headquarters was established to coordinate the actions of various services. Aubry urged maximum caution in the accident area and requested that the work of emergency services not be hindered.
The Ukrainian Embassy in France reported that the Ukrainian ambassador to France, Vadym Omelchenko, and embassy staff immediately headed to the scene. They are in constant contact with the prefecture and local services to promptly provide assistance to the victims and clarify the circumstances of the incident.
