Comment from the Ukrainian MFA

Georgiy Tikhiy, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, commented on the statement from the Russian MFA, in which Russia condemned Israel for "unprovoked military strikes against the sovereign state of the UN," Iran.

Tikhiy noted that this was "an awkward moment when the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs made a statement about the Middle East but forgot to look in the mirror," as reported by X.

Russia's Statement

Russia previously stated that "unprovoked military strikes against a sovereign state, its citizens, peaceful cities, and nuclear infrastructure" are unacceptable. The statement indicated that Israel "deliberately chose the path of further escalation of tensions."

Military Actions in the Region

According to reports, Israeli defense forces launched an air campaign against Iran's nuclear program on the night of Friday, targeting dozens of sites related to nuclear development and other military structures. In response, Iran launched over 100 drones towards Israel in the past few hours.
