This is reported by The Independent, BBC.
Tottenham is ready to compete with Manchester United for Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo this summer following the appointment of Thomas Frank as the new head coach. Frank, who previously managed Brentford, signed a three-year contract with Tottenham on Thursday evening.
Mbeumo, who scored 20 goals for Brentford last season, is attracting interest from several clubs. Manchester United has already made a bid of £45 million plus £10 million in bonuses, but the deal was not reached as it did not meet Brentford's valuation.
Tottenham has not yet made an official offer for Mbeumo; however, according to sources, several other Champions League clubs have also shown interest in the player. Mbeumo's contract expires in a year, but Brentford has the option to extend it for another year.
Frank, who spent nearly seven years as head coach of Brentford, left the club expressing gratitude for the support and shared achievements. In his farewell message, he noted that he leaves a part of his heart in Brentford and hopes that the relationships will last for many years.
Frank's first game in charge of Tottenham will be on July 26 in a friendly match against Luton.
