Casualties and Missing Persons in San Antonio
On June 13, 2025, local authorities in San Antonio reported that the death toll from heavy rains and flooding has risen to 11 people. Some individuals are still considered missing.
Rescue teams continue their search for the missing as water levels begin to recede after the heavy rainfall that occurred the day before. San Antonio Fire Department representative Joe Arrington stated that over 70 rescue operations have been conducted throughout the city.
More than a dozen vehicles were found overturned in the creek after over 18 centimeters of rainfall fell in the region. Officials stated that some of the vehicles may have been quickly swept off the road by rapidly rising waters.
Among the deceased, three individuals were aged between 28 and 55 years. The search for the missing is concentrated on Beitel Creek, where rescue teams hope to find those who are unaccounted for.
