The 2025 King's Birthday Honors list recognizes numerous outstanding individuals from various fields, including music, sports, and literature.
Knighthoods
Among the main honorees are former England football captain David Beckham, actor Gary Oldman, and The Who frontman Roger Daltrey, who have been knighted for their contributions to sports, music, and charity.
Daltrey, 81, was recognized for his charitable work, particularly as a patron of the Teenage Cancer Trust. He remarked that it is a great honor for him personally and for the charity he represents.
Oldman, 67, received the award for his contribution to drama, notably for his role as Winston Churchill in the film "Darkest Hour." He expressed pride in the recognition of his work in film.
Beckham, 50, was knighted for his contributions to sports and charity, particularly for his work with UNICEF and Malaria No More. He stated that it is an extraordinary honor that he could never have imagined.
Other Honorees
Among other honorees are Penelope Mordaunt, former Minister of Defense, and Pat Barker, author of the "Regeneration" trilogy, who have been made dames. Actress Elaine Paige also received a damehood for her contributions to music and charity.
In the MBE category, awards were given to Luke Littler and Luke Humphries, who were recognized for their achievements in darts. Littler became the youngest world champion in history at 17 years old, while Humphries won the Premier League final.

Additionally, Virginia Wade, a former tennis player, received the CBE for her contributions to sports and charity. She is the only British woman to have won titles at all four Grand Slam tournaments.
