Disney and Pixar announced new projects at the Annecy Animation Film Festival in France. The main news is that Toy Story 5 will hit theaters on June 19, 2026.

In this new installment of the franchise, the old toys, including Woody, Buzz, and Jessie, will face a new antagonist - a tablet named Lily Pad. This "sly" device convinces eight-year-old Bonnie that friends and games on it are better than her old toys.

In addition to Toy Story 5, Pixar announced a new film titled Gatto, planned for summer 2027. Director Enrico Casarosa will tell the story of a black cat named Nero, who tries to find his place in the world while escaping from the cat mafia in Venice.

This film will feature a unique animation style that differs from the studio's previous works. A project titled Hoppers was also announced, set to release on March 6, 2026, telling the story of a girl who uploads her mind into the body of a robotic beaver to save a pond.

Disney and Pixar continue to develop their projects in advance to delight audiences with new stories.
