Iranian Missile Strikes on Israel

On the night of June 13-14, 2025, Iran carried out several missile strikes on Israel, resulting in at least two fatalities and over 50 injuries.

According to Israeli emergency services, one of the Iranian ballistic missiles struck a residential area in the city of Rishon Lezion, south of Tel Aviv. As a result of this strike, one person was killed, and over 20 were injured.

Ambulances arrived promptly at the scene. They reported significant damage from the strike, with several individuals trapped under debris. "This is a complex situation, and we are continuing to survey the area to ensure there are no other victims," said Rami Musher, deputy director of the Ayalon emergency services.

Additionally, according to the Israeli ambulance service, another 34 people were injured in the Tel Aviv area on the evening of June 13, most of whom sustained minor injuries. Later, police confirmed that another individual had died as a result of the attacks.

Israel's Response

The Israeli military stated that their air defense systems responded to the attacks and reported detecting missiles flying from Iran. At the same time, explosions were reported in Tehran, including near the Mehrabad Airport, where a military base is located.

In light of the escalating conflict, Iran's representative to the UN Security Council stated that as a result of Israeli attacks, 78 people, including senior officials, had been killed, and over 320 had been injured, most of whom were civilians.

International Reaction

Meanwhile, the role of the United States in the conflict remains unclear, as President Donald Trump made conflicting statements regarding his awareness of Israel's plans. Prior to the attacks, Trump urged Israel to give diplomacy more chances, but later called the assault "excellent."

Amidst this, a UN conference scheduled for the following week regarding a bilateral solution for Israel and Palestine was postponed due to the escalation of violence.
