Prospects for French Teams at the 24 Hours of Le Mans
At the 24 Hours of Le Mans, French teams have the opportunity to compete for victory, although their chances vary. Teams like Porsche and Cadillac have better positions on the starting grid, while Alpine and Peugeot face challenges.
Porsche and Cadillac Have Strong Positions
Porsche is represented by three cars, including numbers 5 and 6, but the team with starting number 4 will not have a French driver. Kevin Estre, starting with number 6, aims to correct his past mistakes, while Julien Andlauer and Matthias Jaminet with number 5 hope for a successful start.
Cadillac, featuring French drivers Norman Nato and Sébastien Bourdais, also has high hopes, as their car starts from the front row. However, Bourdais warns of potential speed difficulties, particularly compared to Ferrari.
Alpine and Peugeot Face Challenges
Alpine, with numbers 35 and 36, hopes to improve results compared to last year when the teams failed to finish the race. However, according to their sporting director, the team is not a favorite. Mikkel Jensen from Peugeot notes that their cars start from positions 17 and 18, and the team aims to reach the points zone.
Loïc Duval from Peugeot emphasizes that despite the difficulties, racing on this track is special and emotional.
Teamwork and Preparation
The Peugeot team includes Italian engineer Ruggero Aprile, who is responsible for coordinating the team's efforts during the race. He emphasizes the importance of physical and psychological preparation, as the race lasts for 24 hours.
