Israeli Strikes in Gaza
On June 14, 2025, several Israeli strikes occurred in Gaza, resulting in the deaths of at least 23 Palestinians, many of whom were near a humanitarian point managed by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), which is supported by the United States.
According to medical sources, the highest number of casualties was recorded in central Gaza, where 15 people died while attempting to approach a distribution point for aid. Israeli forces are reported to have opened fire on individuals trying to receive humanitarian assistance, causing chaos among the crowd.
The recent events come amid a prolonged war that has lasted for 20 months, which began after a Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, resulting in approximately 1,200 deaths and 251 hostages taken.
According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, over 55,000 Palestinians have died since the onset of hostilities. The majority of the deceased are women and children. This has led to a serious humanitarian crisis in the region, where 90% of the population has been left homeless.
Hamas accuses Israel of blockades and restrictions that complicate the delivery of humanitarian aid. Meanwhile, Israeli military officials state that their actions are aimed at combating terrorist groups.
At the same time, Nasser Hospital in southern Gaza faces the threat of closure due to a lack of medical staff and resources. Doctors are calling on the international community to provide assistance to keep the hospital operational, as it is the only facility in the region equipped to provide emergency medical care.
Clashes continue, and humanitarian organizations express concern over the increasing number of casualties from gunfire occurring near humanitarian points.
